This policy explains what information Venex Media, LLC (“Venex Media,” “we,” “us”) collects through venex.media, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the emails, calls, and messages that follow from it.
It does not cover work we do for clients under a signed agreement. That work is governed by the agreement.
Who we are.
Venex Media, LLC is a Florida limited liability company based in Miami. We build websites and apps, run digital marketing, produce creative media, and provide technology and AI consulting for businesses.
Questions about this policy go to privacy@venexmedia.com.
Information we collect.
Information you give us.
When you use our contact form, we collect:
- Your name, work email, company or website, and phone number if you choose to share it.
- What you want to achieve and the services you are interested in.
- Your timeline, and your budget range if you choose to share it.
We also collect what you send us when you email, call, text, or meet with us. If you become a client, we collect the business and billing details needed to do the work.
Please do not send health information, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or passwords through our forms.
Information collected automatically.
When you visit our site, our site and the tools on it collect:
- Your IP address and the approximate location it indicates (city or region, not your street address).
- Your browser, device type, and operating system.
- The pages you view, how long you stay, and how you scroll and click.
- The page or ad that brought you here.
- If you arrived through a referral partner’s link, which partner referred you.
- Whether you start or submit a form. When you submit one, we also receive the address of the page you sent it from.
Cookies and similar tools collect most of this. See Cookies and tracking tools.
Information from advertising platforms.
When we run ads, platforms such as Google and Meta report back on how the ads perform. For example, they may tell us that someone clicked an ad and later contacted us. These reports are mostly counts and trends. They do not give us your name.
How we use information.
We use information to:
- Reply to your inquiry, prepare a proposal, and deliver the work you hire us for.
- Follow up about your inquiry by email or phone.
- Send occasional updates about our services, if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
- Understand how people use our site so we can improve it.
- Measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited our site.
- Keep our site and forms safe from spam, bots, and abuse.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Online Terms of Service.
Advertising and remarketing.
We use, or may use, advertising tools from Google and Meta, including remarketing, which shows our ads to people who have visited our site.
Here is how it works:
- We may use pixels, web beacons, cookies, and other storage tools from third parties, including Google and Meta, to collect or receive information from our site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google and Meta, use cookies and device identifiers to show our ads based on your past visits to our site. Our ads may appear on other websites and apps across the internet, including Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Google, Meta, and other third parties use this information to measure ad performance and to target and deliver ads.
- When you submit a form, we may tell an ad platform that an inquiry happened so we can measure which ads work. If we send contact details to help match that event, they are hashed first (converted into a scrambled code) before they leave our systems.
We do not use Google Analytics demographic or interest reports. If we turn on more Google Analytics advertising features, we will update this section first.
How to opt out of ad targeting:
- Google: My Ad Center (opens in a new tab)
- Meta: Ad preferences (opens in a new tab)
- Digital Advertising Alliance: WebChoices (opens in a new tab)
- Network Advertising Initiative: NAI opt-out (opens in a new tab)
Opt-outs work per browser and per device. You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your visits to our site.
Your choices.
Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also reply and ask us to stop. We act on opt-outs within 10 business days.
Text messages. Reply STOP to any text from us to stop all texts. Reply HELP for help.
Phone calls. Tell us during any call, or email us, and we will stop calling you.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (opens in a new tab) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how sites should respond to it, so our site does not change its behavior when it receives one. We do honor Global Privacy Control, as described above.
How long we keep information.
We keep information only as long as we need it:
- Inquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement and up to seven years after it ends, to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements.
- Google Analytics data: detailed data is deleted after 14 months. Summary reports stay.
- Email delivery logs: kept by our email provider for a few days.
- Opt-out requests: kept as long as needed to honor them.
How we protect information.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Our site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to inquiry and client information is limited to the people who need it.
No website or email system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your privacy rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information.
- Opt out of targeted advertising.
Many state privacy laws do not apply to a business our size. We honor these requests anyway, wherever you live.
To make a request, email privacy@venexmedia.com. We will confirm the request comes from you, usually by replying to the email address we have on file, and respond within 45 days. We may keep information the law requires us to keep, and we will tell you if we do. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that the agent acts for you. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children.
Our site is for businesses and the adults who run them. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email privacy@venexmedia.com and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States.
We serve clients in the United States. Our site and our service providers store and process information in the United States.
Links to other sites.
Our site links to other websites and services. Their own privacy policies apply, not this one.
Changes to this policy.
We will update this policy when our practices change. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. For significant changes, we will also post a notice on our site before they take effect.
